Odd numbered years usually mean lots of city council, school board, and port commission races, but this year held some additional drama for Puget Sound area voters as the Seattle City Council races involved a contest pitting progressive values against Amazon’s corporate bottom line. There was also two important statewide measures that voters were asked to weigh in on one involving the funding of new mass transit projects, and one involving affirmative action law in the state of Washington. We hit on all these races.
